Blantyre Works 1939

Three photos from 1939 of Blantyre Work and Shuttle Row. This is just 10 years after the museum had opened and it’s still looking well kept and in good condition.

These stills were taken from a fleeting clip on an old movie, which can be seen here. Just forward to 5.10 for the brief Blantyre glimpse, but the movie as a whole is very interesting tracking the history and roots of the River Clyde.

Thank you to Steve Slessor for recently pointing me to the little clip.
