Pictured in the early 1950’s is Blantyre man Archie Gardner, who ironically is doing some gardening in this photo. Archie lived at Auchinraith Terrace, Springwells and is pictured here on a fine day cutting his grass. Thanks to Neil Scott for sharing this photo.

Neil Scott recently shared this photo likely from the 1950’s adding, “This is Alex Gardner of Auchinraith Road. He was around 17 years old in this photo” I’m not sure of the location, but I would imagine this is away from Blantyre.
