Pictured in the early 1950’s is Blantyre man Archie Gardner, who ironically is doing some gardening in this photo. Archie lived at Auchinraith Terrace, Springwells and is pictured here on a fine day cutting his grass. Thanks to Neil Scott for sharing this photo.
Josie Caserta who lives in Italy has memories of living in Blantyre as a child. Her family are fondly remembered by many people in Blantyre as having the shop in Springwells and the ice cream van.
