A great family photo from Jim Cochrane’s collection. Of this photo, Jim told me, “My Grandfather John Marshall is busy at haytime in the field below Calderside Steading. His brother Robert is on the ruck, his sister in law Sadie Marshall helping. Babara McCaskie is the young girl, my grandfathers niece.”

Jim Cochrane sent in this photo, adding, “My cousin John Marshall getting some early tractor driving lessons, helping his dad spreading nitrogen fertilizer about 1967. The barn at Calderside is in the background. This is a big house now. He’s only 3 here started driving on his own about 7 ,he now lives in Canada.”
