I’m really looking forward to this historic old building being completely renovated and opening again. It is, of course Shuttle Row, the birthplace of our most famous son, David Livingstone.
Here’s hoping it will look as charming and tidy as this old photo. The renovation is experiencing some delays, largely through unforeseen circumstances to do with the buildings infrastructure. It will not re-open until well into 2020. Rest assured though, it will be an exciting transformation which should protect this 230 year old building for many, many more generations.

Tanya Martin I saw on a census (1911, I think) that my great grandmother and her family lived there. It’s now on my list to travel Scotland to visit.
