I’ve walked past this tree a few times in Greenhall Park and often thought how beautiful it is. Unusually for Greenhall, this particular tree is whole and never been storm damaged.
My wife recently remarked that its like “how trees are supposed to be”, a reference to its health, shape and beauty.
On that sunny day in August 2015, we were out walking in the park, enjoying the midday sun with our dog. During these dark nights, its a reminder of the greenery we have around us in summer months. Next time you’re at Greenhall in summer on a sunny day, stand under the canopy and look up. There is nothing more beautiful than this “Tree of Life”.
