These family photos were taken by my dad in 1978. Although not very clear, they do show myself and my sister Joanne, in and around Blantyre. At High Blantyre Primary School gates, at Stonefield Crescent (where all the houses absolutely looked the same in the days before coloured roughcast!), and playing at Greenhall Park. I have to say our family have over 10,000 photos from between 1930 – 2009 of the Duncans and Veverka. My parents and grandparents loved taking photos. The camera went everywhere with us, daytrips, holidays, family celebrations. Picking out the Blantyre related ones of interest is going to take me a long time, but I look forward in 2016 to sharing anything relevant to Blantyre’s history here. ps They are of a much better quality than these ones shown! (Thankfully!)
