Blantyre’s most grand building deserves the grandest Christmas tree, but Crossbasket have done it in style, yet again, by putting up a marvellous illuminated Christmas tree within the fountain at the front of the Castle.

With over 30 foot planted into the fountain, it means Crossbasket Castle’s Christmas tree is the tallest illuminated tree in Blantyre. The statue in the fountain can be removed each year and the tree slotted in its place, right outside the entrance of the castle. Last night (Wed 9th December) the tree was illuminated, as I’m sure it will be on Monday 21st December at the “doors open” day.
