1930s Cochrane of Blantyre
Jim Cochrane sent this photo in along with the following text, “My Great Gran And Grandpa Cochrane . They lived in Auchentiber then moved to 12 stonefield cresent before Emigrating with their family to Australia in 1928. They didn’t like it and came back before ww2 to live in 6 Watson place.
Not all the family came back but my Grandpa Jim and his brothers William and Alan came back with them, leaving a brother Hugh and 2 sisters still in Australia. My Great Grans own name was Catherine Douglas ,her uncle was Neil Douglas The Blantyre mines cashier.“
