1920s Robert Main at Little Udston farm

Jim Cochrane sent in this photo from his family collection in November 2014. Pictured is Robert Main, his Great Grandfather at Little Udston Farm, which sat just below Park House on the North of the railway.

Little Udston Farm, as located just over the Redburn, sat in what is now Westcraigs in Burnbank Parish, but is close enough to the burn to be of interest to people in Blantyre.

Thanks to Jim for all his photos being shared here.

  2. could you tell me if Shotts farm in high blantyre is the original name of the farm

    1. Im fairly sure Shott Farm has always been called that. I’m currently investigating Farms, in between finishing the Blantyre Pubs section. I should have some history on Shott very soon.
