On April 25, 1893, employees of the Blantyre joinery firm Warnock and Walker enjoyed a day off to celebrate Mr. Walker’s marriage. They traveled to Lanark, enjoyed a dinner at the Victoria Hotel, shared well-wishes for the couple, and engaged in leisure activities before returning home. The outing was well organized by Mr. Lighbody and Mr. Bell.
