Alex Rochead shared his photos here when he stopped off to take these pictures in May 2015. Just off Sydes Brae is the ruins of Dixon’s Dynamite store, where the colliery once kept the explosives. Today the building is well preserved.
About halfway up Sydes Brae, before you reach Auchentibber, on the right hand side, sits in a field, a hidden little brick and stone building.
