On June 22nd 1968, dancers from Dundee, Stirling, Greenock, Paisley and Kilbirnie came to Blantyre Community Centre on Glasgow Road to compete in a dancing competition organised by Mrs. Hislop who ran the local dance school. Amongst the prizewinners was Mrs Hislops 14 year old daughter, June Hislop who scored 3 firsts and 4 seconds. […]
