The daughters of James and Jessie Brownlie. This family lived at 58 Hunthill Road and we’ve been exploring some of their stories this week. From left to right are Mary McKay Allan Brownlie born 1917 in Falkirk, Agnes Carmichael Brownlie born 1914 in Blantyre and Margaret Pettigrew Brownlie born 1920. Their brother Hugh and sister Jessie died of Scarlatina at a young age. (I posted yesterday about Jessie)

The ages of these sisters put this charming Blantyre family photo around 1921 or 1922, some hundred years ago.
