Livingstone Centre Progress

What a great photo this is! Taken by Blantyre Drone Works, shared here with permission, it shows nicely the progress of the Davi Livingstone Centre renovation.

Many of the paths have bee lifted, some of the walls and gardens removed. Good progress has been made on both the roof of Shuttle Row and the Africa Pavilions, which have new skylight domes.

The old, listed Shuttle Row building, birthplace of Livingstone looks like the white render has been stripped back to the bricks, although this is difficult to see as the whole building  is cloaked in scaffolding and netting.

However, there’s still some way to go. The Centre is not due to reopen until Summer 2020.
