Another fantastic new photo of the Demolition of the former Burleigh Church. This time viewed from Herbertson Street looking northwards to Glasgow Road.
Doonin’s lorries are parked up ready to haul away the demolition material. The Burleigh Church already demolished in a pile at the back.
By 1978, some of Glasgow Road was already starting to be boarded up. In the background you can see the former Victoria Cafe already closed, awaiting demolition.
