Born on 16th December 1944, Gerard McGarry lived at Fin Me Oot (Caldervale). Growing up in Blantyre, he left for the United States in 1962 after Caldervale was demolished.
Photographed here throughout his life, we share these here in case anybody in Blantyre remembers Gerard.

These are great photos! My grandfather, Edward McGarry, was Gerard’s mom’s brother. My dad, Richard McGarry, was Gerard’s cousin. Gerard was always the life of the party! He introduced me to the music of Rod Stewart 🙂
