This charming photo was taken in 1994 when Gerard McGarry, a former Blantyre resident, travelled from the United States back to his birth town.
Gerard, brought up in Fin Me Oot visited Blantyre again that year seeking out the places of his childhood, like for example, his former school at St Josephs. He’s pictured here standing beside a tree he actually planted as a child!
He also took time to go back to Fin Me Oot.
