A rare and unusual wintry photograph of Glasgow Road, looking West, taken in 1989. The vantage point appears to be the David Livingstone Church Tower and I suspect this photo was taken by the late Neil Gordon.
This was before the flats being built next to the church, the ground at the Dandy still vacant here. On the opposite side of the road, behind Rowan Place, the small parkland and fields adjacent to St Blanes can be seen, which is of course now the location of the new St Blanes school.
Most prominently is how wide and spacious Glasgow Road is.
