Continuing our look at new ‘old photos’. This time Auchentibber formal Gardens, from the 1910’s around the former Quoiting Green.
White, picket fences around the sports ground, the tearoom and inn at the background. This was a popular place for sports for miners after their work and a nice place for any family to visit.
Today, the quoiting green is still relatively level, but is overgrown with new trees growing from it, in the midst of woodland.
