Back to 1989 in this photo. The Church Hall at Kirkton, High Blantyre had been demolished earlier in the year and by the Autumn, the site was flourishing…..with weeds, some of the clearance still to take place. This was around the time just before the widening of Hunthill Road.

In the background is Carrigans Pub, which at that time, especially at weekends was thriving brilliantly and very popular.
