1978 Scott McCluskey, little Jockey

1978 Scott McLuskey wmIn July 1978, Blantyre boy Scott McCluskey was shaping up to be the next “Lester Piggot”. The eleven year old was on holiday at Butlins when this picture was taken in Ayr.

It was there that he romped home to Victory in the Butlins Donkey Derby.

Scott of 55 Station Road took part in winning photos alongside his proud gran, Catherine McCluskey of 223 Glasgow Road. Catherine had the wisdom of putting on a stake before the race. She won a week’s free holiday!
