1962 Blantyreferme Collieries

Pictured here in 1962 by the grandfather of Alistair Hastings, is Blantyreferme Collieries 1&2. The vantage point is from the top of the bing and looks towards the North East.

In the background is Uddingston and the Clyde Bridges. In the foreground, Blantyreferme Colliery and Brickworks. Just off centre you’ll see a white building, which was the Blantyreferme Baths, similar to the bathhouse at the nearby Priory Colliery.
