1923 The Danskin women in Burnbrae field

From 1923, on the left is my grandmother Mary Danskin (later to become Duncan). In the middle is my great grandmother Agnes Danskin (nee Hunter) and on the right my gran’s sister. At the time, the family owned the drapers shop at the corner of Broompark Road/ Stonefield Road which we now recognise as the newsagents. This photo was taken in the field behind, long before the modern houses.

My gran was about 16 in this photo.
