Playing Pitch n Putt at the Park

23rd August 1969. My mum (Janet Duncan) plays pitch and putt at Blantyre Public Park in front of the boating pond. This was the first holiday my dad had to Scotland after he met mum. My dad took the photo. This is an important point….he loved Blantyre SO much saying it was tidy, SAFE, well kept and a lovely place to settle and bring up a family. I like to think the same can be said for today…..but sadly not about the park, which is nothing like the beautiful place it was then.
