Thought this was worth sharing. Blantyre Project reader Caroline Hay shared this picture. It’s of Milheugh Falls, an oil painting she did herself! This is a lovely, atmospheric interpretation of Milheugh Falls. Caroline has captured the mood of the place beautifully. The flowing white brushstrokes of the waterfall stand out strongly against the darker river, giving a real sense of movement and energy. The soft, misty sky and distant trees create depth, while the warm light on the horizon adds a gentle contrast that draws the eye across the landscape.
It feels calm, natural and evocative of the quiet beauty around Blantyre’s riverside. A really evocative and thoughtful piece.
