Just a quick message. You have noticed my daily posts have been a little “intermittent” in February, with some days without articles. Admittedly, this is unusual for me given I’ve been posting daily since 2011. Having not posted for a few days, yesterday I received a message asking if I’m ok. Just to let everybody know, I am fine!! So what’s going on?
I’m still motivated and have LOADS to show on Blantyre Project.
However, the timing of several things happening at the same time this Springtime 2025 has meant I’ve currently a lot less time to be online and very little time to research at the moment. My daytime construction job gets more demanding as financial year end (March) approaches and when I come home in evenings and weekends, I’ve then got a few business interests which currently need my time. Perhaps more significantly, we have a significant building project starting at my home and garden this week in preparation for my mother and father in law moving up from the Borders. It’s an exciting construction project for our family which I’ll be close to. Once complete, it means my family will be together, beside us in Blantyre. Important it has my attention. As the picture shows, some of the prep work involved.
My time for history posts will be limited for a couple of months as I work through what is shaping up to be a more stressful, intensive time. However, I will try my best to keep posting just now, with quality articles whenever I can, scheduling them in advance for 10am each morning. Also, there’s some repeat content scheduled for the Facebook page which will have guaranteed posts every day continuing.
The message for now is I’m busier than usual offline until May or so but will try my best to ensure daily articles appear here on the website as often as possible, but if they don’t , please don’t be too disappointed. Things will be back to normal in due course. Thanks for understanding.

No worries Paul family come first!
