My good friend and follower of Blantyre Project, Archie Simm sent me this photo which made me laugh. But a bit of context first!
Archie, a Blantyre man has lived in America for quite some time and gets to visit Scotland fairly often. Missing a favourite of his which can’t be found in America, he embarked on a quest to perfect the nearest possible likeness to a “Roll n Square Sausage’ as he could! lol
Some thought has gone into this. The shape and size of the roll, how it tastes and the consistency and size of the sausage! Now all he needs is some ‘broon sauce’.
P.S Sorry for unusual lack of posts the last couple of days on the website here. I was on holiday in Paris with family, but back now and back to Blantyre business.
As happens I attended and nay joined the Secret Square Sausage Society prompted by an event held at Drygate Brewery led by one Scot Agnew (comedian & ex-journalist) – all as part of the 24 Glasgow Comedy Festival – I was not alone there🥴 – links (apols but I couldn’t resist) need to be made to this early work 🤔
