This photo with 5 Blantyre lads was taken about 1947 in the Public Park across the road from where some of them lived near John Street. Shared by Arch Park with fond memories of childhood.
Left to right: Andy Wallace, Jimmy Park (Arch’s younger brother), Billy Toes, Archie Park, Johnny Ferns. They had just come out of the parks paddling ponds.
Arch told me, ‘We seem to have spent most of our time either in the Public Park or around the Clyde. The names are as used at the time.”
