Heather McWilliam, who lives in New Zealand, recently shared these two Blantyre related photos.
This is a photo of her aunt, uncle, and dad (Margaret, Archie and Jack McWilliam) and we believe it is in the back garden of 28 Stonefield Crescent, sometime around 1946.
Heather told me, “I’ve also attached another picture taken the same day of Archibald and Elizabeth McWilliam, my grandparents.”
The McWilliam family swapped homes with my own family , exchanging council houses number 10 and 28 Stonefield Crescent, my own family eventually settling at number 10.
