Today’s previously unseen photo is shared by George Hay and is another great photo of the former High Blantyre School. Opened in 1875 at the same day as the school on Glasgow Road, this school on Hunthill Road lasted until the early 1980s. Photographed her here, (i think) during the 1970’s, the front of the school shows windows for additional classrooms, where much older photos showed a front entrance behind the council signage.

In the background are the Church Halls and houses on Main Street, now all long since gone.
