This postcard dates from the early 1950’s and was on sale in the gift shop/tearoom at Shuttle Row at the David Livingstone Museum. It is of course the David Livingstone Memorial Bridge over the River Clyde, not long after it was completed. The concrete piers still look brand new. I suspect this was around 1952 or 1953.
This bridge was the one BEFORE the current bridge. It wasn’t the best construction and didn’t even last a half century.
