Another great photo of Kirkton Park from around 1969 or so. This time, looking across to Broompark Road. You can see the playpark on the left, the former toilet block and to the right hand side the former Playing fields, where so many different football teams have played over the years.
Once again, the noticeable difference to today’s modern park, are the beautiful flower beds, well kept by park-keepers who were based in the park itself. The full photo showing a wider perspective is attached too.
