Livingstone Lion Statue, 2004

Nothing to see here. Move on! Just the massive Livingstone and Lion statue on the back of a lorry driving up the motorway to Scotland. lol. This was very early 2004 and is a still from a video very kindly shared to Blantyre Project Jim Walker.

Jim was in Ireland to document the manufacturer’s finishing touches and transportation of the wonderful statue of David Livingstone, the lion which attacked him in 1844 and two of his party. Jim had the foresight to film the event and followed it over the Irish sea to Scotland, then on to Blantyre. I’ll be posting his fantastic little video later this week. @DavidLivingstoneBirthplace
