Staying with 1979 today and a few more photos of the former Craighead Bing. Just off Whistleberry Road, this was before the creation of the Raith part of the EK Expressway, the bing and these scenes subjected to bulk earthwork shaping for the construction of the major road.
This was a visible end to the visible mining legacy so apparent for decades before in this location.
