In 2007, Vandals broke into the grounds of the Craighead School and set fire to their minibus leaving the whole school absolutely devastated.
For over a year, the school had no minibus restricting many of the outings that would have otherwise been possible. The idiots who stooped so low as to torch a school bus were never caught but as most cases in Blantyre, it was kindness that prevailed and the losers who did this, worthy of that tag.
In November 2008, ‘Allied Vehicles’ kindly donated a new bus. They did this knowing that the school faced closure. As you can imagine, pupils and teachers were delighted once again giving them the chance to do all the things they’d always done at Craighead.
This was a kindness worthy of being remembered.
