A further few photos of the construction of the Blantyre Sports Centre. The early foundation works and site clearance.
These were taken in 1980 and show the site at the corner of Glasgow Road and John Street. Well before the skatepark or David Dale House was built. Construction of the Sports centre is underway in these photos. On the opposite side of the road outwith these photos, Asda was just about to open.
