What about this photo then? What a cracker. It’s from 1981 and taken from the former traffic island at the top of John Street on Glasgow Road. The view is Glasgow Road looking east, some 38 years ago!
This was before John Street roundabout. The tenements pictured were demolished to realign John Street entrance and make way for Devlin Grove. So, who can tell me what the little white van is selling and who owned it?
