In August 1980, the newly formed playscheme run jointly by Springwells Tenants Association and the Elizabeth Scott Centre was bursting at the seams!
Kids had a brilliant time each day in the School summer holidays with plenty to do and lots of friends to be made. In August that year, Hamilton Firemen visited and gave the youngsters a “behind the scenes” glimpse at an engine. The scheme started in July 1980 and was a huge success, as clearly all these delighted faces show!
