David Livingstone Youth Centre was formed in October 1966 and by springtime 1967 had a membership of over 60 boys and girls. The club was organised by the County Further Eduction department met on two separate evenings at David Livingstone Memorial Primary School at Coatshill.
The leader was Samuel Trussler of Kirkton Avenue, High Blantyre who was assisted by three others. Average attendance was around 40 youths and speakers were invited along to present to the group. Topics were varied but usually of local interest.
Do you remember the Youth Project at the school, involved in it or know when it ended?Pictured on 30th December 2010 by Jim Brown is the former school.
