1920’s Mystery Woman

A photo of a Blantyre woman from the 1920’s. A mystery woman, unidentified but was in Margaret Stwart’s photo album. The outdoor location unknown too. Shown here in a long shot, just in case somebody recognises a grandmother or mother.

Gillian Cunningham What do you the structure is in the background ?

Blantyre Project I had wondered that too. Maybe a chimney of sorts. My gut tells me this may be at Low Blantyre near the former Refuse destructor at the bottom of John Street. The fence may be screening the railway.

Jim Cochrane Looks like a Railway sleeper fence sometimes seen at the side of a railway.
