Another mystery photo shared by Margaret Stewart. Blantyre children in an unknown location in Blantyre taken in the 1910’s. These five wee tots are long since passed away. The building they’re pictured at may have been cold and draughty. The patterned glass is broken, the photographer clearly not bothered too much about the background.
Family photos without names are a reminder of the importance of jotting down a name or two on the back of printed photos. All it takes is a couple of generations to pass and the task is much, much harder. It’s highly unlikely we’ll get to the bottom of this photo, but it’s a nice old photo nonetheless and worth showing here. After all, these will be somebody’s grandparents or great grandparents!
