1972 Shuttle Row

1972 Shuttle Row

A great picture from 1972 of the small homes at Shuttle Row, Blantyre Works.

At a time before the Africa Pavilions this was the tearoom and shop, which many people will likely remember was positioned not far from the turn-styles. The scene is still very familiar, although the outside of the building then looks in better shape than the present day.

Of course, this whole part of the building is undergoing a renovation and will soon form part of the new, upgraded museum.
