1978 Springpark in Auchentibber

1978 Auchentibber5 wmAn absolutely beautiful photo of “Springpark”, an old house in Auchentibber, which still exists today. Photographed here in a prime condition in 1978. (was that really 40 years ago!?)

Constructed between 1832 and 1850, Springpark was at one time a Public House. By 1859, Springpark was noted in the Parish records as being a Pub, well known by its name. It is recorded as being on the lands known as “Muirfoot” and was fued off Mr. Jackson of Park. (perhaps a good indication that Mr. Jackson was the original constructor and owner). Arthur Leggat was the landlord according to the Valuation Roll.
