At the end of 2017, a parcel arrived in the mail marked for my attention. Inside was a gift from Karen Scott, an EK photographer who has created these brilliant Blantyre postcards from some of her own photos. They also make lovely little prints!
Featuring scenes in and beside Blantyre, they have a heavy watercolour appearance, with bold lines and striking colours. Too good for me to use as postcards, I’ll be keeping them amongst all my other Blantyre memorabilia.
What a fantastic idea though, and I hope Karen develops this further for us all.

Kenny Mallan Would not be out of place in the gift shop down at the David Livingston Centre or even in local news agencies. They have Blantyre Christmas cards and I think there would be a market for these, Not least of all among expats returning for a visit and people who correspond with them. I really like these.
