Geoff Reynolds says, “I would like to pay tribute to another Son of Blantyre. Private 17084 Norman Scott 10th Battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) attached to 42 Bty TM. Norman was killed in action on 25th July 1918 aged 23.
He was the son of Agnes Scobie Scott (later Reynolds) of 114 Glasgow Road Blantyre. Norman was the half brother of my Grandfather William Scott Reynolds. (And therefore my Great Uncle). He is remembered with honour at the Thiepval Cemetery and Memorial. ” For our tomorrow he gave his today”

Mary Kane Mary Sitters IrenePaul ScottSmith Is this man from your Scott family?
IrenePaul ScottSmith Not that I know Mary.
Mary Kane IrenePaul ScottSmith Thanks Irene. You know how obsessed I am with our family tree! Take care. xxx
Mary Sitters I have not heard of him. Maybe will ask our cousin Elizabeth Weaver.
Elizabeth Weaver I have never heard of him, and I doubt there’s a connection to our Scotts, Mary Sitters. I think our Grandpa Robert Scott was the first Scott (from our line) to live in Blantyre – his ancestors were mainly Irish. Had also never heard of Jean Scott the newsagent – that’s a coincidence!
Wendy Wilson Any other Scotts related to George Scott (1847 -1917) lived Livingston Terr then May St Hamilton?
Betty McLean He is a relative to my husband
