1959 Blantyre Celtic

Taken in January 1959 it shows the Blantyre Celtic team after they had drawn with Burnbank Athletic in the 3rd round of the Challenge Cup. Amanda’s father is Andy McLaren who is on the back right hand side. Andy played alongside some of the Lisbon Lions at one time or other including Jimmy Johnstone. Amongst these players featured are Carr, Hendry, McNair, Connor, Bonnar, O’Connor, Smith, Forsyth, Logan and Breslin.
