Meet the three 1978 Champion Blantyre Scouts and Cubs. Super Scouts.
The 3 lads won the Super Scouts and Super cubs competition organised by the 3rd Blantyre Scout Group. From Left to right Alan Glen (14), J Rouse (12) and L Jack (11). The competition was based loosely on the TV superstars programme. Each boy had to play 10 games, winning points to progress.
Laurence Jack, the winner of the Cub section but was also the overall winner on points. The 2 older boys came in 1st and 2nd in the Scouts Section. £150 was raised for the Scouts who planned back then to build an HQ in Blantyre.
