1967 Burns Supper, Welfare

1967-burns-supper-jan-at-welfare-wmAt the end of January 1967, nearly 300 Blantyre pensioners were treated to a fantastic burns supper at Blantyre Miner’s Welfare at Calder Street.

The event was hosted by Blantyre Old People’s Welfare Committee and featured prizes, raffles and entertainment.

This is a long shot as many of these people would have been born in the 1880s, and 1890s…..but keeping in mind this is 1967, do you recognise anybody in this photo?
