I’m pleased to announce that tonight, I’ve launched the latest Blantyre Project Publication, slightly earlier than planned. The “Annals of Blantyre” is launched today, Friday 17th February, quietly with no fuss, no offline launch night.

This only seemed right for the book was actually written by a former Blantyre minister, Rev Stewart Wright back in 1885. It went out of copyright and publication in 1958 and was not available to buy. So I’ve transcribed it entirely as set out in 1885 along with original illustrations and brought it back for people at an affordable price of just £5.99.

The book explores the history of Blantyre, capturing life in Blantyre in the 19th Century from a first hand account. All financial proceeds from the purchase of this book are going to local Blantyre charities and good causes.
